NETCO, Northeast Tennessee Cooperative (a school food service purchasing cooperative representing fourteen school systems) hereby notifies the public of its intent to receive proposals from food and supply distributors to work as a service provider for the cooperative.  The duties of the service provider will include, but not be limited to, the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of school food service food, supplies, and processed commodities as well as contacting and purchasing directly from manufacturers on behalf of NETCO. An approximate annual value of said business is $11  million.

NETCO is a School Food Service Cooperative in Northeast Tennessee. The cooperative is comprised of fourteen individual school systems serving an average of 50,000 students per day with an annual food budget of over six million dollars. NETCO, formed in 1997, includes the school systems of Bristol City,Carter County, Cocke County, Grainger County , Greeneville City, Hamblen County,Hawkins County, Jefferson County, Johnson City,Johnson County Newport City, Rogersville City, Sullivan County and Unicoi County.
